Cape Girardeau Regional Airport

Cape Girardeau Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use airport in Scott County, Missouri, United States. It located five nautical miles (6 mi, 9 km) southwest of the central business district of Cape Girardeau, a city in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.〔 The airport is used for general aviation, and has scheduled service by American Airlines partner Cape Air with subsidized Essential Air Service program flights to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 443 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008,〔

〕 978 enplanements in 2009, and 4,862 in 2010.〔

〕 It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a ''general aviation'' airport based on 2008/2009 enplanements (the ''commercial service'' category requires at least 2,500 enplanements per year).〔


==Facilities and aircraft==
Cape Girardeau Regional Airport covers an area of 557 acres (225 ha) at an elevation of 342 feet (104 m) above mean sea level. It has two runways: 10/28 is 6,499 by 150 feet (1,981 x 46 m) with a concrete surface; 2/20 is 3,996 by 100 feet (1,218 x 30 m) with an asphalt/concrete surface.〔
For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2011, the airport had 24,250 aircraft operations, an average of 66 per day: 86% general aviation, 12% scheduled commercial, and 3% military. At that time there were 44 aircraft based at this airport: 68% single-engine, 18% multi-engine, 9% jet, and 5% helicopter.〔
